Holocaust Survivor Rene Lichtman was just a small boy when the war broke out. He would find himself living and hiding in Paris with a French family trying to adapt to a life he never knew with people he did not know. His father, he later learned, joined the war effort to be a part of the allied forces to fight Hitler’s Germany. His father would never make it back to see his little boy. It was these lonely, scared, and confused times that little Rene would develop his passion for artistic expression through drawing and painting. Now, 83, Rene has been living his life journey through his celebrated creations. We recently started filming Renee working on a piece that will come alive in our film, Shoah Ambassadors.
